Job summary

Montage Health in Monterey, CA seeks an experienced RN to join the Clinical Hub C4 as a rapid-response clinical expert. You will deliver bedside assessment, triage, and immediate interventions during emergencies while coordinating with Hub C3 and other care teams.

This role supports hospital-wide emergency response and specialized services as needed. The position emphasizes acute care proficiency, patient safety, and high-acuity decision-making, with opportunities for after-hours vascular access

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recent acute care nursing experience.
• Experience caring for complex and/or critically ill patients.
• Experience responding to clinical deterioration, rapid response, code events, or other high-acuity situations.
• Critical care, emergency department, rapid response, or other high-acuity acute care experience within the last 3 years.
• Demonstrated ability to independently assess patients, prioritize competing clinical needs, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across disciplines and levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Responds to RRT, Code Blue, and other clinical emergencies to provide direct clinical assessment and interventions to stabilize patients.
• Communicates findings and recommendations to Hub C3 and Incident Command during significant events.
• Acts as the on-site clinical response resource and coordinates with Hub C3 during emergencies.
• Triages emerging clinical, patient safety, and operational concerns and determines the immediate response.
• Provides after-hours vascular access support (ultrasound-guided) and peritoneal dialysis support when competency is demonstrated.
• Coordinates clinical resource deployment with Hub C3 and leaders based on patient acuity and hospital priorities.
