Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Beaumont, Texas seeks a competent Critical Care nurse who works independently in a high-acuity setting. You will provide routine and complex care per patient plans, delegating tasks to team members as needed and developing skills to handle contingencies in clinical nursing.

The role requires 2+ years in CCU or similar, RN license, and BLS/ACLS; PALS/NRP are required for CHRISTUS Children’s Hospital. Full-time, 12-hour shifts, hospital-based.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years combined experience in Critical Care and one other specialty.
• 5 years of experience preferred.
• RN license in the state of employment or compact required.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS/NRP required at CHRISTUS Children’s Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using the nursing process for assigned patients.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Educates patients, family members and caregivers; identifies issues and resources.
• Delegates assignments to other care providers to manage clinical situations.
