Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver evidence-based patient care at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. You will communicate with the care team, administer medications with advanced barcode systems, and document in real time to support quality outcomes.

The role requires NJ nursing licensure, BLS/CPR within 60 days, ACLS preferred, and at least 1 year of critical care or ED experience. BSN in progress or willingness to pursue within 3 years is expected.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS strongly preferred.
• 1 year of critical care or ED nursing experience required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, strong accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, and passion for high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices per up-to-date evidence-based research and standards of care to provide safe, individualized patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team regarding patient status and treatment plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation tech to ensure safe delivery of medications.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient assessments, plans of care, interventions and evaluations.
• Patient and family education aimed at improving health and disease management.
• Multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transitioning and continuity of care.
