Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in New Jersey. You will deliver evidence-based nursing care, communicate with the care team, administer medications with barcode technology, and document assessments in the electronic health record.

Ideal candidates hold a NJ nursing license, with BLS/CPR within 60 days, ACLS preferred, and 1 year in critical care or ED.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid New Jersey nursing license.
• BLS/CPR required within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS strongly preferred.
• 1 year of critical care or ED nursing experience required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per evidence-based policies to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and the health care team.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document patient assessments and care plans in the EHR.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Coordinate safe discharge planning and transitions of care.
