Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health at Jersey Shore University Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our patient care team.

Responsibilities include delivering evidence-based nursing, communicating with care teams, administering medications, and ensuring safe transitions of care. Minimum NJ RN license, BLS/CPR, ACLS, and 2 years CCU/ED experience required; BSN in progress preferred. Starting pay starts at $45.14 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS certification is required.
• Minimum 2 years of adult critical care or ED nursing experience.
• 2 years of Cardiac cath lab/EP experience preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Strong teamwork and patient-centered care mindset.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research and policies to ensure safe and excellent patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team regarding status and plans.
• Medication administration utilizing bar-scanning and documentation technologies for safe delivery.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of assessments, plans, interventions and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to optimize health, wellness and disease management.
• Multi-disciplinary discharging of patients to ensure safe transitions and continuum of care.
