Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The role focuses on delivering evidence-based nursing care, maintaining precise documentation, and communicating with the care team to coordinate treatment plans.

Applicants must hold a New Jersey RN license, and obtain BLS/CPR within 60 days, ACLS, and demonstrate at least two years of critical care or ED experience. BSN in progress or willingness to pursue is required within three years.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS required.
• 2 years of critical care or ED nursing experience required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs and work as part of a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to up-to-date evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care to provide safe, excellent patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team regarding patient status and treatment plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of patient assessments, plans, interventions and evaluations.
• Patient and family-centered education to optimize health, wellness and disease management.
• Multi-disciplinary discharging of patients to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care.
