RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a dedicated RN for the Critical Care Float Pool at the New Brunswick campus. This role requires caring for diverse patient populations across trauma, neurology, cardiology, orthopedics, and oncology, with emphasis on safety and nursing excellence.

We emphasize teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a Magnet-designated academic medical center. Night shifts, 36 hours per week, with weekend/holiday rotation are typical expectations.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma.
• At least 1 year of Critical Care RN experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire (preferred).
• At least 2–3 years of Critical Care RN experience (preferred).
• CCRN (preferred).
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• NIHSS.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• The Registered Nurse assures safety in practice and incorporates evidence-based practice.
• The Registered Nurse reports identified safety issues and medical errors.
• The Registered Nurse understands the patient population served.
• The Registered Nurse supervises and directs delegation of tasks to team members and collaborates with other care providers.
• The Registered Nurse sets and evaluates priorities with measurable outcomes.
