Job summary

Air Methods CBS is seeking a highly qualified RN for critical care flight duties across Arizona bases. You will provide high-quality care from patient pickup through transport to the destination facility, ensuring safety and documentation at every step.

The role requires 3+ years of critical care experience, state EMS certifications, and readiness for on-call, 24/7 coverage with potential travel to multiple bases within the state. A strong team player with flight adaptability is essential.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree and active RN license.
• Minimum 3 years of recent critical care/emergency nursing.
• Flight experience not required but preferred.
• EMS/MICN certification/licensure as required by state regulations.
• Current trauma certifications and HazMat/NIMS training within 24 months if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care from initial contact until handoff to receiving facility.
• Maintain thorough patient care documentation.
• Maintain competency through ongoing clinical experiences and required trainings.
• Ensure equipment is functioning and supplies onboard aircraft.
• Participate in pre-mission briefings and post-mission debriefings; assist pilots as needed.
• Support patient transport safety and adherence to Air Methods standards.
