Duke Life Flight is seeking an EMT for full-time, on-site duty in Durham, NC. You will operate the Life Flight/ Life Care Critical Care Transport ambulance and support systems, ensuring rapid, patient-centered transport for a wide age range.

Responsibilities include vehicle maintenance, assisting nursing staff, and replenishing medical supplies, with shifts 12 hours long and rotating between day and night blocks.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience operating an ambulance or fire truck equivalent to the mobile intensive care unit.
• Two years EMT experience with an active EMS provider preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform maintenance on the unit, including fueling, cleaning, and basic repairs.
• Drive the Life Flight ambulance and support equipment as part of critical care transport.
• Assist nursing staff with patient care and family information during transport.
• Replenish medical air, oxygen, and supplies used during transport.
