Job summary

Mercy in Springfield, MO is seeking a Clinical Education Coordinator to develop, deliver, and coordinate standardized new hire orientation programs for licensed and unlicensed clinical coworkers across the ministry.

You will align core programs with evidence-based practice and lead ongoing education for change initiatives and annual competency including certifications such as life support and workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a clinical discipline; enrolled within 6 months if not yet complete.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
• Current state license if required in the discipline.
• AHA BLS provider.
• Demonstrates evidence-based practice knowledge with credibility to influence patient care.
• Proven ability to organize and multitask to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; knowledge of audiovisual equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops, delivers, and coordinates standardized new hire orientation programs for licensed and unlicensed clinical coworkers.
• Delivers ongoing education for change initiatives and annual competency, including recurring life-support and workplace-safety certifications.
• Aligns core programs with evidence-based practice and updates materials as needed.
• Coordinates and supports training delivery across Mercy facilities.

Develops, delivers and coordinates ongoing education for change efforts and annual competency including but not limited to recurring certifications related to life support and workplace safety.

Position Details:

Minimum Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Discipline Required or enrolled within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
• Current appropriate state license if required in discipline.
• AHA BLS provider.
• Demonstrates clinical knowledge related to evidence-based practice with the credibility to positively influence the delivery of patient care.
• Proven ability to organize and multitask to meet project deadlines.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of audiovisual equipment is an advantage.
• Knowledge of equipment/technology used in delivery of patient care.

Preferred:

• BSN/Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• RN License
• 2 years teaching experience
• Specialty Certification (NPD within 2 years preferred)
