Job summary

IU Health is seeking an Accreditation & Regulatory Advisor (Critical Access Hospitals) to lead accreditation and regulatory compliance across the system. You will educate and consult with leaders, clinical teams, and staff to sustain survey readiness and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• CPHQ or comparable regulatory certification within two years of employment.
• Interfacility travel for surveying and in-state overnight stays required.
• Current Indiana health care professional license or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary accreditation and regulatory resource for assigned hospitals and provide system-wide support.
• Interpret accreditation standards, state and federal regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Plan and facilitate survey readiness activities including mock surveys and readiness assessments.
• Lead onsite accreditation surveys and coordinate activities before, during, and after surveys.
• Develop and monitor corrective action plans in response to findings or gaps.
• Prepare written responses to regulatory agencies and ensure timely follow-up actions.
• Evaluate new services, programs, and spaces for regulatory and accreditation impacts.
• Partner with leaders to identify improvement opportunities and restore compliance.
• Analyze regulatory changes and communicate impacts and actions to leadership.
• Provide regular readiness updates to facility and system leadership and liaison with health authorities.
