Job summary

IU Health seeks an Accreditation & Regulatory Advisor for its Critical Access Hospitals. You will lead accreditation and regulatory activities, guide readiness efforts, and provide expert education across IU Health facilities to ensure safe, high‑quality patient care.

The role requires collaboration with leaders, clinical teams, and stakeholders, with travel across facilities and a flexible home base. A bachelor’s degree and regulatory certification are required within two years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 4-6 years of relevant regulatory experience.
• CPHQ or other comparable certification required within two years of employment.
• Interfacility travel for surveying and in-state overnight stays is required.
• Requires Indiana license as a healthcare professional (RN, RT, Pharmacy, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary accreditation and regulatory compliance resource for assigned Critical Access Hospitals.
• Interprets accreditation standards, state and federal regulations, and organizational requirements.
• Plans and facilitates survey readiness activities, including mock surveys and education sessions.
• Leads onsite accreditation and regulatory surveys and coordinates activities around survey events.
• Develops corrective action plans in response to findings and tracks follow-up actions.
• Communicates regulatory changes and impact to leaders and stakeholders.
• Provides regular readiness updates to facility and system leadership.
• Liaises with the Indiana Department of Health and accrediting organizations.
