Wasatch Behavioral Health in American Fork, UT is hiring a Full-Time Male Human Service Worker to support youth in crisis care. The role involves direct supervision, creating a safe environment, and assisting with daily routines for boys ages 12-17.

Salary ranges from $17.50 to $22.17 per hour with varied shifts, benefits, and opportunities in behavioral health and crisis intervention. Must be male to qualify for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Experience in mental/behavioral health is helpful but not required.
• Must pass background check and WBH hiring standards.
• Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, support, and structure to adolescent boys in crisis care.
• Create a safe, stable, and supportive environment for youth in crisis.
• Assist with daily routines, activities, and skill-building to promote stability.
• Use de-escalation and behavior intervention techniques to support youth.
• Monitor youth safety, including those with suicidal ideation or trauma-related behaviors.
• Support intake processes and safety readiness for admission.
• Assist with medication management under supervision and proper protocols.
• Collaborate with therapists to support individualized care and treatment goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate updates on youth progress.
• Build trusting relationships and encourage growth, accountability, and resilience.
