Job summary

Pawnee Mental Health is seeking a dedicated team member to support our Mobile Crisis Team in Kansas. You will join mobile crisis dispatches, provide emotional support during acute crises, and assist in safety planning and follow-up care.

You’ll also cover crisis lines, assess risk, coordinate transfers to higher levels of care, and help clients access community resources. This role is part of a mission-driven organization focused on meaningful outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Past life experience as a primary consumer of mental health services.
• Oral and written communication skills in English.
• Basic computer skills enabling electronic data entry and retrieval.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance as required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in mobile crisis dispatches with licensed/unlicensed crisis staff.
• Provide emotional support and stabilization during acute crisis situations.
• Assist in safety planning and ensure understanding of follow-up steps.
• Share recovery experiences and coping strategies to foster hope.
• Coordinate with teams to ensure warm hand-offs and appropriate resources.
