Job summary

Northeast Counseling Services is seeking compassionate Crisis Stabilization Unit Workers to join a brand-new 24/7 Crisis Stabilization Walk-In Unit in Hazleton. You will perform in-person assessments, crisis intervention, stabilization, and referrals for adults experiencing psychiatric emergencies.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with psychiatrists and emergency staff to determine treatment and disposition, gather essential information, and ensure timely documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with coursework in social/behavioral sciences or nursing.
• RN license or equivalent professional credential.
• Experience or exposure to mental health services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person crisis assessment and intervention for adults with psychiatric emergencies.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, emergency staff, and crisis team to determine treatment and disposition.
• Gather information from clients, families and supports for care planning and evaluation.
• Provide therapeutic crisis interventions and identify least restrictive options.
• Connect clients with community resources and follow-up services.
• Complete timely clinical documentation and data entry.
• Respond to crisis situations in homes or community settings as needed.
