Scranton Counseling Center, the area's largest, fully integrated behavioral health provider, has full and part time openings for roles in our 24/7 mental health crisis service after normal business hours with behavioral health crises.

Crisis staff are stationed at Scranton Counseling Center and travel to provide on-site services at Lackawanna and Susquehanna County hospitals. You will screen calls and perform rapid assessments with the on-call psychiatrist and ER staff.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in mental health or related field required.
• Candidates with Masters Degrees will be considered.

Responsabilidades

• Provide immediate response to screen incoming calls.
• Conduct timely face-to-face client assessments for on-site intervention.
• Coordinate with on-call psychiatrist and ER physicians.
• Consult with County Delegates regarding 302 warrants and involuntary commitments.
• Provide information and referral for individuals not needing hospitalization.
• Work cooperatively with coworkers and ER staff.

Scranton Counseling Center, the area's largest, fully integrated, comprehensive behavioral health provider has full and part time openings for positions part of our 24/7 mental health crisis service which is responsible for the evaluation of children and adults presenting after normal business hours with behavioral health crises.

These positions require rotating weekends.

Crisis staff are stationed at Scranton Counseling Center and travel to provide on-site services at Lackawanna and Susquehanna County hospitals.

• providing immediate response to screen incoming calls
• perform timely face-to-face client assessments for on-site intervention and disposition in consultation with the Center's on call psychiatrist and emergency room physicians
• consult with County Delegates regarding section 302 Warrants and involuntary commitments for inpatient psychiatric care
• provide information and referral for individuals engaged who do not require psychiatric hospitalization
• work cooperatively and collaboratively with coworkers and emergency room staff

A Bachelor's Degree in a mental health or directly related field is required. Candidates with Masters Degrees will also be considered.
