Eliot Community Human Services in Boston, MA seeks a Stabilization Specialist for its Community Crisis Stabilization program. This Fee for Service role focuses on crisis stabilization, housing navigation, recovery coaching, and case management to support adults and families in psychiatric distress.

The position emphasizes direct client support, coordinated care planning, and collaboration with the care team to remove barriers and improve outcomes in a community-based setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Services or related field.
• Experience with adults or families with mental illness/substance abuse.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis support and stabilization services to clients.
• Deliver interventions to individuals and families focused on problem-solving, skills training, behavior modeling, optimism, and encouragement.
• Tailor interventions based on client preferences, needs, and the clinical direction of the care team.
• Offer direct support in crisis intervention, stabilization, treatment planning, and evaluation and assessment.
• Assist individuals with learning and utilizing coping strategies, and daily living skills.
• Complete clinical assessments and required documentation to meet standards.
• Provide short-term case management, including assistance with income, insurance, entitlements, community resources and services, as well as coordination of medical/psychiatric appointments.
• Facilitate warm handoffs with other service providers.
