Bowen Health, Inc. in Pierceton, IN is seeking a Peer Support Specialist for Crisis Stabilization (CRSS). You will provide non-clinical crisis support, leveraging lived experience to assist individuals in stabilization, while documenting progress and coordinating resources with the crisis team.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience providing peer support services.
• Certified Peer Support Professional Certification (CPSP), CAPRC or CARC required, or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• CPI certification must be obtained after hire and kept current.
• BLS and First Aid certifications must be obtained after hire and kept current.
• Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance.
• Satisfactory results from criminal and driving record background checks.
• Must be a minimum 18 years of age.

Responsabilidades

• Welcome and engage with individuals in crisis, providing emotional support.
• Secure and document possessions, placing them in locked storage for safekeeping.
• Assemble and distribute basic needs items to ensure individuals’ well‑being.
• Conduct room checks at the required frequency to ensure safety.
• Assist in de‑escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies.
• Provide insights from a lived experience perspective to enhance the crisis team.
• Assist with initial assessment to identify individual needs during a crisis.
• Advocate for patients and support self‑driven recovery pathways.
• Collaborate with the crisis team to set short‑term goals for stabilization.
• Develop and implement crisis management and safety plans.
• Educate on overcoming crises, reducing isolation, and promoting connections.
• Maintain accurate client progress notes and peer notes.
• Access community resources to address diverse crisis needs.
• Communicate with team members and external organizations.
• Attend team meetings and weekly peer supervision.
• Safely transport individuals when needed.
• Perform billing tasks and ensure documentation compliance.
• Handle laundry and keep CRSS spaces clean and organized.
• Be willing to assist Mobile Crisis Teams as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
