POSITION SUMMARY:

The Shift Supervisor oversees operations at HopeLink Behavioral Health's Crisis Services, supervising Crisis Workers and Volunteers. Responsibilities include ensuring quality assurance, expertise in protocols, personnel management, and crisis intervention, including suicide prevention. The Supervisor provides real-time guidance during emergencies, assesses complex behavioral situations, and develops appropriate interventions, coordinating with law enforcement and EMS. They ensure services across phones, chat, and text are effectively managed and collaborate with colleagues to maintain operational excellence.

Schedule and Location:

Shifts:

Friday to Tuesday, 10am-6:30pm or 11pm-7:30am

This is a virtual role requiring 40 hours weekly.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Provide expertise in contact center operations, personnel management, and crisis intervention.
  • Offer real-time supervision, coaching, and support during crisis contacts via phone, chat, and text, including emergencies.
  • Monitor workforce tools for performance and coverage, using data-driven decisions during high demand or absences.
  • Conduct quality assurance through contact reviews, providing feedback and coaching.
  • Document contacts and anomalies, communicate issues to leadership.
  • Lead supervision sessions, attend staff meetings, and ensure adherence to protocols including 988 standards.
  • Deliver training, professional development, and evaluations to staff.
  • Represent Crisis Services professionally with community partners and stakeholders.
  • Manage administrative tasks like scheduling, timecards, and corrective actions.
  • Step in as Crisis Worker or handle overflow calls during peak times or emergencies.
  • Create a safe environment for staff to discuss concerns and seek support.
  • Perform other duties to support program goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field preferred; relevant experience considered.
  • Minimum two years in crisis intervention or suicide prevention.
  • One to two years supervisory experience.
  • Experience managing crisis via phone, chat, and text in a contact center.
  • Proven supervisory skills with volunteers or staff.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health, substance abuse, and recovery principles.
  • Excellent judgment, communication skills, and cultural competence.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and adaptability to workflow changes.

Note: The crisis center operates 24/7. While efforts are made to provide stable schedules, some accommodations may not be possible.
