Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Water Treatment Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in water chemistry and practical experience in diagnosing and resolving issues in boilers, cooling towers, reverse osmosis (RO) systems, and chillers. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our clients' water treatment systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Water Chemistry Management:
  • Monitor and adjust chemical treatments to control scaling, corrosion, and microbiological growth in water systems.
  • Utilize corrosion inhibitors, scale control agents, and biocides to maintain system integrity.
  • Implement and manage programs for external water treatment.
  • System Diagnostics and Troubleshooting:
  • Identify and resolve issues related to scaling, corrosion, and microbial contamination in boilers, cooling towers, RO systems, and chillers.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Utilize tools and techniques to assess system health and implement corrective actions.
  • System Optimization:
  • Analyze system performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Recommend and implement modifications to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and technological advancements to apply innovative solutions.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of chemical treatments, maintenance activities, and system performance.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to management detailing system status and any issues encountered.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in water treatment for industrial systems, including boilers, cooling towers, RO systems, and chillers.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in water chemistry and treatment processes.
  • Experience with water treatment equipment and control systems.
  • Knowledge of scaling, corrosion, and microbiological control methods.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to water treatment.
  • Personal Attributes:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.
