Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The QA Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the review of Physician reports and accompanying medical records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency with medical evidence.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Oversight of QA staff
  • Assign appropriate QA staff to each file, designating responsibilities among the team.
  • Supervise staff and manage the File Review Board to ensure timely, accurate processing of files.
  • Report review details to managers to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist in staff performance management, including promotions, discipline, coaching, and termination.
  • Participate in hiring qualified candidates for QA positions.
  • Ensure QA staff adhere to and meet their duties, including:
    • Following up with Physicians for outstanding reports.
    • Reviewing reports for accuracy.
    • Delivering reports to relevant parties.
    • Following client-specific instructions.
  • Participate in issue resolution with QA, physicians, account managers, and related parties.
  • Follow up with physicians for clarifications and communicate delays to clients.
  • Ensure referrals meet the client-defined Turnaround Time (TAT).
  • Verify correct Doctor Payment and Client Invoice amounts upon referral approval.
  • Review reports with medical records for completeness, accuracy, and error-free content.
  • Assist management with intake completion.
  • Act as liaison between reviewer, team, and client regarding process and status.
  • Assist in communication with requesters regarding questions and issues.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

    Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

    JOB RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

    Experience in medical peer review or healthcare industry required; healthcare or insurance business experience preferred.

    JOB RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

    Exceptional communication skills, critical thinking, time management, ability to meet deadlines, computer literacy, and typing skills.

    WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Includes lifting, bending, travel, long periods of sitting and computer work.

    WORK FROM HOME TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Must provide and support own internet; uninterrupted connection required.
