Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in psychology, social work, human services, or a related field with Junior or Senior standing.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate cultural competence.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and unpredictable environments while maintaining professionalism and sound judgement.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check, employment background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Answering crisis line calls and escalating high-risk calls immediately to crisis staff.
• Greet and welcome program participants and visitors in a trauma-informed, respectful manner.
• Shadow crisis staff during crisis assessments to gain exposure to crisis response procedures, service coordination, and documentation practices.
• Complete follow up calls with clients enrolled in follow-up services and document interactions in SmartCare the electronic health record (EHR) system in accordance with program procedures.
• Participate in team meetings and program training as needed.
• Provide general administrative support (filing, copying, scanning, data entry, assembling materials) for Mobile Crisis and SIL staff.
• Offer program team support for meal breaks, debriefing opportunities, and other activities as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Participate in regular 1:1 meeting with the Clinical Coordinator for supervision support, and professional development.
• Support scheduling, organization, and special projects as needed.
• Assist with scheduling vehicle maintenance and recordkeeping.
