Job summary

AltaPointe Health Systems is seeking a dedicated security/ Residential Services professional to support adults with serious mental illness in our 24/7 group-home program. You will respond to crisis situations, deescalate when possible, and apply program policies to maintain safety and dignity for consumers.

Qualifications

• Must be able to respond to crisis situations and implement safety protocols.
• Proven de-escalation skills to resolve conflicts calmly.
• Ability to work collaboratively with treatment teams and staff.
• Strong, professional communication with consumers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Responds to crisis situations throughout facility and implements proper MindSet interventions
• Demonstrates the ability to recognize the elements of a crisis state and knows how to deescalate or resolve the situation
• Applies seclusion and restraint per AltaPointe Policy and Procedure
• Conducts consumer and room searches for contraband items per AltaPointe Policy and Procedure
• Conducts Environmental Rounds on a daily basis and documents accordingly
• Provides monitoring and interaction with consumers
• Prepares end of shift (EOS) report
• Performs hand-off communication at shift change
• Actively participates in Security team meetings for performance improvement purposes
• Provides staff training to staff on crisis intervention as needed
