Job summary

AltaPointe Health is seeking a Security Technician to respond to crisis situations in inpatient and residential settings, maintaining safety for consumers, staff, and visitors. The role involves perimeter checks, searches for contraband, and monitoring activities across facilities.

Essential functions include de-escalation, documentation, shift hand-offs, and collaboration with the treatment team. Candidates should be prepared to participate in performance improvement initiatives and staff

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must pass a physical agility test that includes running, push-ups, sit ups, etc. Details are available upon request.

Responsibilities

• Responds to crisis situations throughout facility and implements proper MindSet interventions.
• Demonstrates the ability to recognize the elements of a crisis state and knows how to deescalate or resolve the situation.
• Applies seclusion and restraint per AltaPointe Policy and Procedure.
• Conducts consumer and room searches for contraband items per AltaPointe Policy and Procedure.
• Conducts Environmental Rounds on a daily basis and documents accordingly.
• Provides monitoring and interaction with consumers.
• Prepares end of shift (EOS) report.
• Performs hand-off communication at shift change.
• Effectively collaborates with the treatment team members.
• Actively participates in AltaPointe committees as required.
• Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Follows AltaPointe policies and procedures.
