Job summary

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, Division of State-Operated Specialty Care, Independence Mental Health Institute, is seeking a Resident Treatment Technician for full-time evenings. This role includes shift differential for second shift and leadership duties over RTW staff under a Nurse or Charge Nurse.

Background checks are required and training will be provided. IMHI provides inpatient psychiatric services and collaborates with families to develop individualized treatment plans

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification Requirements: Experience equal to eighteen months of full time work as a nursing or therapeutic assistant in a health care facility or equivalent.
• Or any equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of post high school education with emphasis in nursing and/or social or behavioral sciences for one year of experience to a maximum substitution of one year.
