Job summary

Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, Division of State-Operated Specialty Care, Independence Mental Health Institute, seeks a Resident Treatment Technician to join the Crisis Response Team. The role involves evening shifts with a $0.90/hour differential, patient safety, and leadership over RTW staff in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Crisis Response Team responsibilities and safety procedures.
• Ability to lead RTW staff as delegated by a RN/Charge Nurse.
• Willingness to participate in training and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Observe patient wards and activity areas to assess safety.
• De-escalate potentially volatile situations and respond to emergencies.
• Lead and direct RTW staff and provide training to new staff.
