Legacy Treatment Services in New Jersey is seeking a Part-time Peer Support Specialist to engage with adults in crisis. You will lead client engagement, provide non-clinical support after stabilization, and work in Crisis Response teams to assess needs and link to services.
The role emphasizes de-escalation without law enforcement, risk assessment, safety planning, and follow-up care. Candidates must have crisis intervention training, at least two years of recovery from SMI/SUD, and relevant
Competenze
- Must be trained in crisis intervention and have at least 2 years of continuous recovery from an SMI or SUD diagnosis and at least one year of field experience.
- Certification from CRSP/CPRS or NAADAC or Wellness Coach is required.
Mansioni
- Lead engagement with consumers in crisis teams.
- Provide non-clinical support after stabilization.
- Assist with risk assessment, safety planning, and linkage to services.
- Conduct follow-up care and coordinate with community resources.
