Job summary

Legacy Treatment Services Group in New Jersey is seeking a part-time Crisis Response Specialist to evaluate consumers and determine if additional psychological, psychiatric, or clinical services are needed.

You will work in teams of two with a Peer Support Specialist, activate on-call Master’s Level Clinician as needed, and provide trauma-informed, culturally competent care, with de-escalation, suicide assessment, and safety planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a mental health related field from an accredited institution plus two years post Bachelor's professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited institution but will need three years’ post Bachelor’s professional experience in a mental health field.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate consumers to determine if additional psychological, psychiatric, or clinical services are needed.
• Activate the on-call Master’s Level Clinician for additional support.
• Demonstrate competency in culturally appropriate care, trauma-informed care, de-escalation techniques, suicide assessment, and safety planning prior to rendering services independently.
• Provide risk assessment, safety planning, linkage to services, and follow-up care.
• Work in teams of two with a Peer Support Specialist to respond to crises.
