Legacy Treatment Services seeks a dedicated Peer Support Specialist to lead consumer engagement and provide non-clinical support after crises. You will work in a 988 Program team, handling risk assessment, safety planning, and service linkage with follow-up care.

Requirements include crisis intervention training, 2 years of recovery from an SMI/SUD, and 1 year of field experience with community members. Certifications such as CPRS/CRSP or NCPRSS are expected.

Competenze

• Must be trained in crisis intervention.
• At least 2 years of continuous recovery from an SMI or SUD diagnosis.
• At least 1 year of field experience with community individuals.
• Must hold certification from credentialing entities (CRSP/CPRS, CRSP, NCPRSS, Certified Wellness Coach, or Community Mental Health Associate).

Mansioni

• Lead engagement with consumers and provide non-clinical support after crisis resolution.
• Participate in crisis response teams to assess risk and safety planning.
• Provide linkage to services and follow-up care.
• Assist in de-escalation and crisis management when needed, avoiding law enforcement unless safety requires.
