Job summary

The Marjaree Mason Center, Inc. in Fresno is seeking a Crisis Response Team Member to provide 24/7 crisis support for domestic violence survivors.

You will handle helpline calls, conduct crisis assessments, and coordinate safety planning to ensure immediate protection and access to resources. You will work with law enforcement, community partners, and internal staff to connect clients with housing, services, and referrals, maintaining confidential records and contributing to a trauma‑informed,

Qualifications

• Associate degree with coursework in social work, human services or victimology.
• Six months crisis response experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, victims’ services, social services or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provides confidential 24/7 response to helpline calls, crisis intervention, safety planning, and supportive services to callers in domestic violence crisis.
• Completes drop-in crisis assessments, determines service needs, and connects individuals to resources.
• Makes informed decisions about entry into the Emergency Safe House and coordinates referrals for services.
• Maintains accurate, confidential client records and enrollment in the agency data system.
• Collaborates with law enforcement, community partners, and internal staff to improve client services access.
• Provides training and ongoing support to volunteers and internship participants.
