Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital Inc. is seeking a Psychiatric Crisis Clinician for part-time evening/night shifts (3 PM–3 AM) to assess and treat children and families.

The role emphasizes crisis intervention, care coordination and documentation across settings, with supervision and licensure support. The position offers self-scheduling, possible extra shifts, shift differentials, holiday premium pay, and full-time benefits at 36 hours per week, plus annual CEUs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited university or professional school in Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Ohio licensure required; independent license preferred.
• Intern-to-Hire provision for interns within 60 days post-graduation window (up to 6 months extension).
• Experience delivering trauma-informed behavioral healthcare to children, adolescents and families.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish relationships with patients, families, peers and community.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical assessment and document presenting problems, history, symptoms, mental status and diagnoses.
• Provide clinical treatment, case management, care coordination and crisis intervention.
• Coordinate client care with other providers and community resources for continuity.
• Complete charting and administrative paperwork per policy.
• Maintain current knowledge of pediatric psychopharmacology and collaborate with team psychiatrist.
