Nationwide Children’s Hospital Inc. seeks a Mental Health Specialist I for the Psychiatric Crisis Department on the night shift to provide trauma-informed, supportive care under supervision.

The role supports patient and family engagement, collaborates on treatment plans, and participates in crisis management within a pediatric hospital setting. The position requires a high school diploma and enrollment in a related undergraduate program, plus BLS and TCI certifications by orientation.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Currently enrolled in and completing half a Psychology, Social Work, or related undergraduate program, or equivalent experience.

Responsabilidades

• Participates with the interdisciplinary team in specialized patient care.
• Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Provides trauma-informed care and uses de-escalation to maintain safety.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans.
• Acts as a resource to unit staff on diagnoses and crisis management.
