Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a Contingent Clinician for the Psychiatric Crisis Department. The position requires a minimum commitment of 16 hours per month, with the option to pick up day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts based on availability.

You will provide mental health therapy in a behavioral health agency, using evidence-based practices to promote recovery and well-being, collaborate with the team psychiatrist, and document care and treatment

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Doctorate, preferred.
• Appropriate Independent Ohio License, preferred.
• Experience providing behavioral healthcare to children, adolescents and families.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document realistic treatment goals and objectives.
• Assess and document client problems, history, symptoms, diagnosis, and initial interventions.
• Apply empirically supported interventions and align with program expectations.
• Coordinate care with other providers to ensure continuity.
• Complete clinical charting and related administrative paperwork.
