Qualifications

• LCSW or LCPC licensure or eligible; strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions with psychiatric and substance abuse patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, brief psychotherapy, triage and resource development for behavioral health patients in ED and Medical Center.
• Assess mental status, psychosocial stressors, risk, functioning, supports and needs.
• Develop discharge and safety plans; coordinate implementation with team.
• Respond to crisis and educate/interact with interdisciplinary staff; supervise trainees.
• Adhere to HIPAA, EMTALA and state/federal guidelines; engage in data collection for billing.
