Job summary

Center for Community Resources seeks a compassionate Crisis Intervention Specialist to join the Huntingdon/Mifflin/Juniata team. This full-time role involves crisis assessments, emergency services coordination, and referrals to mental health and substance use resources.

Starting wage is $21.54/hr with higher rates based on experience; shift differentials apply for evening and overnight hours. Location: Huntingdon County, PA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field with major coursework in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, history, criminal justice, nursing, counseling, education, theology, political science or related field AND one year of experience in the mental health field required.
• Associates degree in psychology/sociology or related field plus 2 years direct mental health experience.

Responsibilities

• Crisis intervention services include telephone and mobile assessments, emergency services coordination, crisis counseling, conflict resolution, and referrals to mental health and drug and alcohol resources.
