Seeking a Crisis Worker responsible for providing face-to-face and telephone crisis intervention services, including evaluation, counseling, and resource referrals. The role involves arranging inpatient psychiatric admissions for individuals subject to Chapter 51 detentions and ensuring services are delivered through the least restrictive and most appropriate means, adhering to professional ethics and boundaries.
Responsibilities include collaborating with community resources, evaluating protective services, and serving as a liaison between clients and agencies. The worker maintains detailed progress notes, assessments, and treatment records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with documentation standards. They may provide court testimony and reports, and handle billing and reimbursement processes according to Medicaid and agency policies.
Qualified candidates will have knowledge of psychopathology, treatment modalities, and relevant laws. They must possess strong assessment, interviewing, and intervention skills, with experience working with children and families preferred. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related fields is required, along with at least one year of youth mental health experience. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are necessary.
