The Alachua County Crisis Center in Gainesville, FL, within the Community Support Services Department, seeks a para-professional to deliver crisis intervention and follow-up care. A associate degree and crisis intervention experience, or equivalent training, plus a valid Florida license, are required.

The role includes safety checks, information/referrals, volunteer guidance, and data reporting, under supervision.

Competenze

• Associate degree and 1 year crisis intervention experience, or equivalent training.
• Valid Florida Driver License and acceptable motor vehicle record per policy.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and Level 2 background check per FL law.
• Grant-funded position with no guaranteed permanent employment.
• Emergency essential: must work during disasters or emergencies.

Mansioni

• Provide crisis intervention services on the crisis line and in person.
• Coordinate and assist with program policies, procedures, and training.
• Maintain client records and reporting of program activity.
• Develop liaison with community mental health and other agencies.
• Support volunteers and drive required to respond to crisis calls.
