Alachua County Board of County Commissioners seeks a qualified professional to manage the Crisis Center’s intervention programs. You will provide crisis counseling, supervise graduate students and volunteers, and coordinate with community agencies to sustain a robust suicide prevention effort.

The role includes training responsibilities, on-call supervision after hours, and collaboration with law enforcement and EMS to support the Community Crisis Center across North Central Florida.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, clinical social work, or related field.

Mansioni

• Provide crisis intervention counseling to individuals and families.
• Supervise and train graduate students and volunteers toward certification/licensure.
• Coordinate with outside agencies to maintain an effective crisis center network.
• Conduct weekly staff and volunteer conferences to review cases and improve counseling skills.
• Serve as the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Coordinator for the region and provide training to 911 operators and law enforcement.
