Job summary

Medical City Green Oaks Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is interviewing for a Crisis Interventionist Nurse RN - PRN to support psychiatric and substance use services in North Texas. This role coordinates assessments, provides crisis response, and collaborates with physicians, patients, and families to ensure timely, compassionate care.

As a Registered Nurse, you will join a team devoted to safety, rapid intervention, and adherence to hospital policies while leveraging transfer and referral

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates all assessments ordered by ER physicians or attending physicians concerning psychiatric or substance abuse problems.
• Performs age-specific mental health assessments on potential clients and refers to appropriate areas.
• Provides crisis assessments in med/surg hospitals
• Participates in the assessment process
• Coordinates, implements and completes transfer or referral process
• Serves as a liaison between physicians, patients/family and the hospital
• Accurately maintains files, logs and reports as requested or required
• Provides crisis intervention for all age groups
• Adheres to hospital policies and procedures
• Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the Code of Conduct
• Conduct reflects the Company’s values and a commitment to the Code of Conduct
• Performs other duties as requested or required
