Job summary

Harris Health is seeking a Crisis Intervention Nurse to lead rapid response to psychiatric emergencies, de-escalate and stabilize patients, and coordinate interventions with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, security coordination, and participation in huddles and training, with a focus on patient safety and high-quality care in a Magnet-recognized health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• RN licensure in Texas with current state registration.
• Certification: Critical Care RN or Certified Emergency Nurse.
• Certification: Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing.
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Satori - Managing Aggression (SAMA) certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate rapid response to psychiatric emergencies including de-escalation and stabilization.
• Lead crisis intervention, security coordination, and Code Lavender activations.
• Facilitate team huddles, debriefings, and process evaluation.
• Contribute to quality and performance improvement initiatives and staff training.
