Job summary

The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia in Dublin, GA invites an Intake Worker to provide crisis intervention, screening, and counseling for individuals seeking behavioral health services. You will link to referral sources and ensure continuity of care across CSBMG programs.

Responsibilities include developing initial treatment plans, maintaining medical records, participating in psychiatric evaluation and triage, and documenting interventions in compliance with agency policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in a human services field with licensure/certification per state guidelines.
• Ability to manage stressful situations and respond appropriately during psychiatric emergencies.
• Valid Georgia Driver’s License.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse communities.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Providing crisis intervention, screening, and counseling for consumers seeking services or emergency screening.
• Provide quality linkage to referral sources and ensure continuity of care between Access and CSBMG programs.
• Assist in development of initial treatment plans and ensure duties meet CARF standards and policies.
• Maintain up-to-date medical records and manage charts until referred or terminated.
• Document intervention in chart per policy; participate in psychiatric evaluation and triage.
