Job summary

Community Service Board of Middle Georgia in Dublin, GA seeks a Clinician I for our Behavioral Health Crisis Center. The role delivers counseling, conducts screenings, assessments, and safety planning, and coordinates referrals to community resources.

The provider must hold a Master’s degree in a related field and an active Georgia license, with strong communication and collaboration skills. The BHCC features 40 beds (24 crisis stabilization, 16 observation) and offers 24/7 crisis coverage, with

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, counseling education, human services or related field.
  • Active Georgia license to provide mental health services (LPC, LCSW, LMFT etc.).
  • Valid Georgia Driver’s License.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines accordingly.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver counseling and educational services to individuals and families/significant others in accordance with individualized treatment plans.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional counseling standards in all interactions with individuals, families, and external agencies.
  • Conduct initial screening interviews to assess substance use and identify co-occurring or additional concerns.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments, including biopsychosocial evaluations and safety plans.
  • Complete the Crisis Treatment Plan bundle with required components.
  • Complete the C-SSRS within four hours of admission and review findings if completed by nursing staff.
  • Obtain signatures for crisis safety plans and provide copies to individuals.
  • Meet with individuals at intervals to review progress and update treatment plans.
  • Assist individuals in developing treatment goals and interventions within established timeframes.
  • Facilitate and coordinate referrals to service providers and community resources.
