Job summary
Illinois Department of Children and Family Services seeks a State Central Register Call Center Worker to provide statewide toll-free line coverage and determine intake decisions for reports of child abuse/neglect. Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work or related field with 1 year of related casework experience.
- Bachelor's degree in social work with 1 year of related casework experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related human service field with 2 years of related casework experience.
- Degree programs must be accredited and CSWE approved.
Responsibilities
- Provide statewide telephone coverage of a toll-free reporting line.
- Counsel or refer crisis situations; connect to statewide resources.
- Enter all reports into the computer terminal.
- Monitor incoming written CPS reports.
- Perform other duties within scope as assigned.
