Job summary

PATH seeks a First Response Specialist for the Family Solutions Center in Los Angeles. You will coordinate referrals, conduct assessments, and provide targeted services to help families transition to permanent housing.

Responsibilities include crisis assessments, utilizing Motivational Interviewing and Housing First practices, and maintaining documentation per PATH policies. Driving is required; this is a full-time, non-exempt, on-site position.

  • Analytical skills and attention to detail are required to gather data, identify trends and inform decisions.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills help work with colleagues, participants and stakeholders.
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal, is essential for engaging individuals and groups.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Family Response Team referrals into the Family Solution Center.
  • Provide strengths-based service coordination to help clients obtain crisis housing.
  • Conduct crisis and risk assessments in consultation with supervisor or clinician.
  • Deliver crisis intervention services to enhance clients’ problem solving and coping skills.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing and Housing First.
