Job summary

EZRA’s Multi Service Center in Chicago’s Edgewater, Uptown and Lakeview areas seeks a compassionate Case Manager to support clients in crisis with financial assistance, budgeting, and benefits navigation. You will conduct screenings, provide crisis intervention, and coordinate across departments to promote stability.

You’ll develop and facilitate programming, track attendance, and participate in community events while upholding confidentiality and ethics.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in the social service field.
• Desire to work for an urban Jewish social agenda.
• Experience budgeting and financial stability support preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn other systems.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Sensitivity in serving low-income populations including seniors and homeless.

Responsibilities

• Screenings, intakes, and assessments for emergency services and financial assistance.
• Provide crisis intervention and advocacy for housing instability and benefits navigation.
• Conduct benefits assessments and link clients with public resources.
• Assist with budgeting and cross-department coordination.
• Develop and facilitate client-centered programming and workshops.
• Enter case notes, track attendance, and participate in meetings and events.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.
