Job summary

Ameren Illinois is seeking a motivated Crisis Management Information & Technology Intern to support the Crisis Management team with incident response, dashboards, and information management initiatives. The intern will organize historical crisis data, enhance dashboards, and contribute to the Athena AI platform.

The role offers hands-on experience with crisis management systems, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 in a utility operations context, with hybrid options and a full-time summer schedule.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field as listed.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, and Microsoft 365 tools is preferred.
• Interest in crisis management, emergency preparedness, and data management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting, organizing, validating, and maintaining crisis information.
• Research historical storm, outage, weather, and emergency records for dashboards.
• Support migration of data into SharePoint and dashboards.
• Help maintain the Crisis Management Dashboard and Athena AI platform.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and resource libraries for situational awareness.
• Maintain SharePoint lists and documented information management systems.
• Assist with standard operating procedures and workflows.
• Support after-action reviews and continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate with operations, preparedness, continuity, and communications teams.
• Ensure information accuracy and confidentiality per policies.
