Job summary

Ameren Illinois is seeking a motivated Crisis Management Information & Technology Intern to support the Crisis Management team. You will help enhance situational awareness, operational readiness, and information management initiatives, gaining hands-on experience with crisis management systems, dashboards, and Athena AI.

The role involves organizing historical crisis data, supporting dashboard enhancements, and contributing to the Ameren Illinois Crisis Management Dashboard.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications is a plus.
• Interest in crisis management or emergency preparedness.
• Familiarity with dashboards and information management is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting, organizing, validating, and maintaining crisis management information from internal and external sources.
• Research historical records for dashboards and situational awareness tools.
• Support migration of historical information into SharePoint and dashboards.
• Help maintain the Crisis Management Dashboard and Athena AI platform.
• Develop and update reports, dashboards, and resource libraries.
• Maintain SharePoint lists and approved information repositories.
• Assist with SOPs, workflows, and documentation.
• Support activation materials during IMT activations and emergencies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across operations and emergency preparedness.
