Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health is hiring a Crisis Clinician to provide rapid crisis intervention, triage, and assessment in community and clinical settings. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to divert cases from emergency departments and inpatient care while linking clients to community resources.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, a valid driver’s license, and experience with crisis services.

Qualifications

• Strong engagement and customer service skills, empathy, ability to remain calm, professional, and clear headed during escalated situations.
• Knowledge and skills in working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
• Ability to communicate with individuals of varied backgrounds, trauma experiences, cultures, education level, and socio-economic status.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial and follow‑up triage, assessment, and de‑escalation for crises.
• Provide crisis and hospital diversion services to youth, adults, and families in crisis.
• Complete risk assessments for suicide/homicide and coordinate safety planning.
• Maintain client records and ensure confidentiality per agency policies.
