Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) to ensure safety of individuals and staff on the unit, take vitals, and document services in the Electronic Health Record. You will deliver compassionate care and coordinate with the RN/Physician teams to meet patients' needs.

Responsibilities include conducting security screenings, orienting new admissions, applying de-escalation techniques, and assisting with daily living activities while maintaining a clean, safe

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience in behavioral health, social services, or related field.
• Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques.
• Company has a mandatory vaccination policy; fully vaccinated or eligible for exemption prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Manage safety of individuals and staff; take vitals and assist on unit; document services in EHR.
• Conduct security screening and orient admissions to the unit.
• Intervene with escalated individuals using de-escalation techniques; perform restraints when needed.
• Lift/move/transport individuals using proper body mechanics; assist with activities of daily living.
• Document all services and interactions in the EHR; monitor vitals and tests as required.
