Job summary

Connections Health Solutions in Phoenix is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) to help ensure the safety of individuals and staff, provide patient-centered care, and document services in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

The role involves taking vitals, assisting with activities of daily living, de‑escalating agitated individuals using therapeutic techniques, coordinating with the RN/Physician, and supporting court‑ordered hearings when needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience in behavioral health or related field.
• Able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques.
• Must meet the company vaccination policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety of individuals and staff on the unit.
• Take vitals and document services in the EHR.
• Provide orientation and education to patients about rights and rules.
• De-escalate escalated individuals using therapeutic techniques.
• Assist with activities of daily living and transfers.
• Conduct and document BAL, urine drug screens, and pregnancy tests.
